The Gator Keys ist ein Kartenexpansions-Mod, der darauf abzielt, das Gebiet von Vice City, das während der Entwicklung vermutlich aufgrund von Zeitbeschränkungen herausgeschnitten wurde, neu zu gestalten und wiederherzustellen. Dieser Mod wurde für das Vice City Next Gen (1.2) Projekt entwickelt und erweitert die Welt mit weitgehend lore-freundlichen Sumpfgebieten, einer Kette neuer Inseln und neuen Straßen, die alle Gebiete mit dem Festland verbinden.
Der Mod befindet sich noch in der Entwicklung, und es sind ein paar Fehler zu erwarten;
Der Mod enthält jedoch:
- Fahrzeugpfade
- Navmeshes (Ped-Spawns)
- Nachtbeleuchtung und Neon
- Lore-freundliche Texturen mit Normal- und Spec-Maps.
- Parkende Auto-Spawns
- Befahrbares Schiff (von VCS)
- Option zum Spawnen von Beta-Fahrzeugen in den neuen Gebieten (erfordert JTR6699s Beta Vehicles Mod)

The Gator Keys is a map expansion mod aimed at reimagining and restoring the area from Vice City that was cut during development, presumably due to time restraints. Built for the Vice City Next Gen (1.2) project, this mod extends the world with largely lore-friendly swampy areas, a chain of new islands and new roads connecting all the areas to the mainland.
The mod is still in WIP, and there are a few bugs that can be expected;
However, the mod includes:
- Vehicle paths
- Navmeshes (Ped spawns)
- Nighttime lights and neon
- Lore-friendly textures with normals and spec maps.
- Parked car spawns
- Drivable ship (from VCS)
- Option to spawn beta vehicles around the new areas (requires JTR6699's Beta Vehicles Mod)
